Designed to be a soothing visual resting place in a hospital waiting room, the mural is composed of 12″ x 12″ cobalt blue glass tiles with a reflective backing. The texture for the glass lily pads was molded from real leaves using the pate de verre method.

Inspired by traditional Italian glass design, this sink features light and dark green colors, twisted “latticinio” canes made in the artist’s hot shop, and frit spirals. The design elements float on the surface of the bubbly glass. The generous thickness of the glass allows the viewer to see inside the polished edge of the sink.
