This unique wall art sculpture by Suzanne Guttman consists of individual hand-blown fluted glass platters with a spiral-shaped iron decoration piece. The design and size of the final piece are highly customizable.
Blown Glass Wall Sculpture - Carolina Tree
The stunning Carolina Tree wall sculpture was originally designed for a private collection in Waxham, North Carolina. This design includes six individual hand-blown glass platters in various sizes and colors. The platters are arranged on a custom-made metal frame in shape of a tree, expertly crafted by the notable Heavy Metal Works, Whidbey Island.
Sockeye Salmon Glass Wall Panel
Bright red Sockeye salmon moving upstream through 3 colors of green glass. Each panel is composed of pre-fired glass fish. Pieces are then partially fused to create texture and the illusion of depth, but are smooth to the touch. Furnace-worked and flame-worked glass add to the detail of the piece.
Brown Trout Fused Glass Panels
The trout are first fired separately from the background tiles, then positioned on the tiles, re-fired and melted in place. This is done at a lower temperature so that the fish are raised from the surface in an almost 3-D effect.
Dichroic Rainbow Trout
Dichroic glass Rainbow Trout enclosed within fused glass. The transparent fish with brilliant dichroic “scales” are realistic in shape and size and typically hang in a group display. Often used in a window, their color will vary depending on the light and viewing angles.

Glass Dragonfly Panel
Designed to be a soothing visual resting place in a hospital waiting room, the mural is composed of 12″ x 12″ cobalt blue glass tiles with a reflective backing. The texture for the glass lily pads was molded from real leaves using the pate de verre method. The wing pattern on the dragonfly was reproduced from a real insect and screen printed with vitreous enamel on iridized glass.

Furnace-worked glass cane is used for seaweed to help add to the illusion of depth, and the salmon are tack-fused to glass background panels to provide texture. Soul of the Navajo Blanket Wall Hanging
This one of a kind glass mosaic wall hanging is based on an antique Navajo floor rug, originally created in Tees Nos Pos, AZ circa 1900 – 1920 (artist unknown). Crafted from high quality hand rolled art glass, this piece required 118 hours of work to complete and consists of approx. 1500 pieces of hand cut glass.
