The Maidenhair Fern Box features a unique botanical design of natural fern fronds on its lid. The lid is handcrafted in a proprietary technique from cast architectural gypsum cement with natural shellac and metallic pigments. Each lid is hand-detailed and finished with four to six layers of metallic pigment.
The body of the box is made from bamboo, painted black on the outside and unpainted on the inside to reveal natural bamboo color. The lid has a metal knob in the center. Round knobs are used for the square boxes, each finished in a patina matching the main lid color.
The lid of each box is available in a variety of colors (Tibetan red shown) - see the color chart above. Custom color combinations are available upon request, please call to inquire.
